- Heat oven to 375°F. 2. Toss peaches with ¾ cup sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla. 3. Spread peaches into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. 4. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 6. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 6. Stir in milk until a thick batter forms. 7. Drop spoonful's of batter over the peaches. 8. Bake for 40–45 minutes, until golden and bubbling. Let cool for about 10 minutes and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
