Nannas Chicken & Dumplings
Chicken and dumplings is one of those deeply comforting dishes that feels like a warm hug in a bowl, built from tender stewed chicken, rich broth, and soft, pillowy dumplings that soak up every bit of flavor. Its origins trace back to early American cooking, influenced by European settlers who adapted simple flour‑based dumplings to stretch hearty meals through lean times. Over generations—especially across the American South—it evolved into a beloved staple, celebrated for its simplicity, warmth, and the way it brings people together around the table.
