Helens Old Fashioned Meatloaf
Old‑fashioned meatloaf is one of those timeless comfort dishes that feels like it’s been part of family dinner tables forever, thanks to its simple blend of seasoned ground meat, breadcrumbs, and a rich, tangy glaze. Its roots trace back to European traditions—particularly German and Scandinavian cooking—where minced meat was stretched with grains and spices to create hearty, economical meals. When immigrants brought those techniques to America, the dish evolved into the classic meatloaf we know today, a nostalgic staple that still delivers warmth and homestyle flavor with every slice.
